Well tbh, we all know how most of these "veteran players" did max LB. AFK farm ftw.
And maxing SS after you finish the game = complete ridiculance, since you just grind grind grind on enemyes...
Back stab? I dont think so. It's just the correct thing to do. Go Anet.

I've finished Factions and vanquished all but 2 areas that give Kurzick rep points - I have 45K faction, which isn't even r1! It might be "simple" to reach r4 if you play the PvP games, but it isn't in PvE.

How I maxed lb on my necro was simply just setting my necro up as a trapper and trapping with the rangers in Veil, grant it this was when people still trapped Veil.
And for ss, alot of people who did the ss/lb runs were also farming for ele swords, well when they were worth something.

More like a boon to every veteran player who, like me, was too bored by grinding to ever max a reputation title.

Well look who's reaping all the benefits now you industrious people...finally my laziness is paying off.

Veteran does not mean the same thing as a title grinder.

I've been playing since day one, I don't have a ton of stupid titles maxed, and I don't want a ton of stupid titles maxed. PvE doesn't have to mean titles. I was fine playing PvE before the introduction of titles.

I'm a veteran player and I approve of this watering down of titles.

They should do something that adds life to the game that's all I know, but it doesn't look like this update will be doing that. It also sucks that it's not coming today, sucks bad bad bad.

<title grinder, and i approve of these title changes, no reduction in difficulty in any of them, just reduction of grind for the extreme titles and annoying behaviors of others.

If titles are not your cup of tea, why would you care? From your statement you can't be bothered to max a title regardless of what Anet does so why would you back tampering with them after years and thousands of players have finished the game and the titles?

You don't care about titles yet you jump and applaud news of something that doesn't even effect you. If something is broken it should be fixed no doubt but all that is happening here watering down for the sake of watering down.SS/LB has been around two years with 10's of thousand of players maxing the title 9.3% of players have maxed SS and 6.5% have maxed LB (this is taken from a sample of 20,000 players on gwcharacters) but that is a lot of people who haven't had issue with those titles.

as a multi-character player, I am more than happy that they are making some of the titles account wide...it wont affect my 'unlicky' title as 99/100 even with more than 50% chance I STILL break my lockpicks----(this update may give me 90/100 wooot!).
My armor hogs would really appreciate a lower level on eye armor rep---but doubt that will happen (eye gets old real really realllllly fast after the first 10 characters).
kurzick/luxon faction as has been said r4 is all thats necessary so thats what I got (yes multi-characters certainly help on that one)....not worried about the 'max' of that one as I will never look at it again.
ss/lb....have yet to max lb but after my first character maxed ss I gave up on it and went to the next character (she is almost there, guess I should finish it up before tomorrow?)...doing wurm runs gets older than farming raptors (and with my reputation for grape drops and grapes from locked chests...it gets sad, really sad).

ah, well, I am impressed they are still working on gw and that they are trying to keep some of the players happy....as they say you cant please all the people all of the time, but sometime you please someone.

So they are going to reduce the amount needed to max Luxan and Kurzick then nerf PVE quests that give rep making rep harder to obtain?

If so, then they are not going to really do anything to actually make it easier like they said they were it will be more like as one evens out the other. We will be essentially back to square one and people will again be seeking new ways to bot rep quick again because it will still take as just as long as before.

Look here is how I see thing...

Remember that these titles go into the HoM. So with that in mind...there must be a tie in for the players playing now to get things in the new guild wars.

So those of you that bought the game 3 years ago will be rewarded with - the titles that you have now and the resulting things that this unlocks in GW2 giving an instant advantage.

If the veteran players did not think that this was the case then they would have empty halls and too many ectos to count.

My example is that I just got the Norn armor this weekend for my war. I reached lvl 5 of the title and then proceeded to get my armor. That stuff almost bankrupted me. It cost me 65K for the mats and another 50K to craft it. I can not even use it yet as I haven't got enough gold to add the runes to it so I am farming them.

The reason that I do not have a lot of gold is that I have been doing the slow steady march to the Lucky and UnLucky titles for my war. It pays for itself but if you consider that I have a 56% chance to retain my lockpick in gwen area it takes a lot of lockpicks to open 10,000 chests! I have spend over 1,000,000 gold already just in lockpicks. Ask Octavia - rest of name omitted - I am only lvl 2 in both Titles in this toon so any changes are great as I need as much help as I can get cause I do not have FACTIONS. So the Board walk 9 rings game is out for me.

So Woot for the changes!!

I'm a title grinder, and I don't think they're backstabbing me. Make the titles less annoying to get, since I wish they were when I got them.

Its just a gut feeling that they're hiding something from us... something big. This doesnt seem like enough to be the longest update notes ever.

As a veteran player who happens to be a title grinder, I don't think the confirmed changes (account-wide treasure/Wisdom, etc.) are a slap in the face to anyone. But I do see them as a boon for those who haven't maxed out the various titles being tweaked.

Not being able to get survivor on my main, I've been trying to sort out what title number 30 will be. My best options are: Kurzick [15% complete], Lucky[35%], Treasure[30%], Wisdom[25%], Unlicky[15%]. If nothing else, this update will help sort out which one to shoot for.

/agreed

I also have been playing since the beta and am a title grinder. I choose to get GWAMM on my main. I did it for myself, not to impress others. If toning down the requirements for some of these titles keeps someone else from "enjoying" the hours of HFFF I did for that 30th title - good for them. Guess I should have waited - it's not like GW2 comes out next week, nor has there been anything stated about any benefit to titles anyway.
